About Our Firm

Jablonski Building Conservation, Inc. (JBC) is a full-service architectural conservation firm specializing in the preservation of historic buildings, monuments, and other cultural resources. The firm was formed in 1995 to provide a full range of conservation services to a varied client base, including architects, engineers, governmental agencies, cultural institutions, religious organizations, contractors, and building owners. We use a combination of science, art, craft, and technology to preserve and prolong the life of historic and other culturally significant materials.

JBC’s experienced team of conservators share a passion for conservation that is revealed in our work. All of our conservators hold graduate degrees from well-respected historic preservation programs. Mary A. Jablonski is an Adjunct Professor in Columbia University’s graduate program in historic preservation. Senior employees of the firm are Fellows or Professional Associates in the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC) and principals are Fellows or Registered Professionals with the Association for Preservation Technology (APT). Individual members of the firm are actively involved in a variety of professional organizations including, AIC and APT, the Association for Preservation Technology Northeast (APTNE), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Association for Gravestone Studies (AGS), National Trust for Historic Preservation, US/ICOMOS, and DOCOMOMO.
